Every Halloween has its legends...
Before she became one of the friendliest zombies around, Zombae lived life at full speed.
She was the first to arrive at every party, the last to leave, and somehow always managed to convince everyone else that staying out just a little longer was a good idea.
Eventually, her parents decided a change of scenery might do her some good.
They packed her off to spend the autumn with her strict grandparents in the country.
She hated the idea.
Until she met Fred.
He showed her that not every adventure needed loud music or flashing lights. Sometimes the best evenings were spent watching the sunset over a pumpkin field, sharing stories around a bonfire or taking the long way home just because there was no reason to hurry.
Somewhere along the way, she realized she wasn't in any rush to leave.
Neither of them ever admitted how they felt.
Then Halloween arrived.
Legend says the curse swept through town before either of them had the chance.
Now, every Halloween, Zombae finds herself following familiar roads she doesn't remember travelling.
She doesn't know who she's looking for.
She only knows she'll recognize him the moment she does.
