Long before he became the happiest zombie in town, Fred was perfectly content living a quiet country life.
He preferred dirt roads over busy streets, early mornings over late nights, and pumpkin patches over parties. If something was broken, he'd fix it. If someone needed help, he'd be there before they even asked.
Life was simple.
Then Zombae arrived.
Sent to live with her strict grandparents after one too many adventures in the city, she found country life painfully slow. Fred found her wonderfully exhausting.
She convinced him to stay out a little later.
He convinced her that sometimes the best nights were spent beneath the stars instead of bright lights.
Somewhere between harvest festivals, hayrides and bonfires, they discovered something neither of them expected.
Each other.
Neither was brave enough to say it out loud.
Then, one unforgettable Halloween night, everything changed.
Legend says that as the Halloween Curse swept through the town, their final thoughts were of one another.
When they awoke...
They were zombies.
Now, every Halloween, Fred finds himself wandering the countryside with the strange feeling that someone important is missing.
